TEDxRiga 2018 speaker, Strategic Communications expert Jānis Sārts has been on the first line of Latvia’s defense for more than twenty years. He is a former State Secretary of the Latvian Ministry of Defense and also led the Defense Section of Latvia’s Delegation to NATO and the EU. Jānis is a former Chair of the National Cyber Security Board, the body responsible for developing and improving Latvia’s cyber security.
Currently, Jānis is head of the NATO Strategic Communications Center of Excellence, a Riga-based hub focused on research and testing ideas and approaches in information security and cognitive resilience.
